University of California Administrator Rattles Our Cage

Do you agree that “the university library of the future will be sparsely staffed, highly decentralized, and have a physical plant consisting of little more than special collections and study areas?” According to this story in today’s Inside Higher Ed, that’s basically what Daniel Greenstein, the vice provost for academic planning and programs for the University of California System told attendees at the Sustainable Scholarship conference held here at Baruch this week.
