Following the results of the vote, the evicted HouseAuthor was immediately transported out of House. He appeared atop Reasonless Tower, where the following interview took place.
Julianna: Ah, Mr. Tolstoy. It’s such a shame you were the first to be decapitated!
Tolstoy: It couldn’t be helped. I’m well aware that I write with an empty sadness unlike any of the others, and so my work has made it hard for them to come around to me.
Julianna: True, true. Or, are they all just too focused on winning the game? I watched them all as they watched you leave, and I didn’t see even the smallest sign of sadness or regret.
Tolstoy: If you’re trying to use my character motifs to get a rise out of me, it’s not working.
Julianna: Mr. Tolstoy, I’m simply letting you know what I witnessed! My eyes don’t lie. I just thought you’d like to know.
Tolstoy: Well I wouldn’t have liked to know. But now what? Do I go back to my own world now?
Julianna: Oh no, Mr. Tolstoy! We can’t allow that at all! You have been decapitated, you can’t return to your world now!
Tolstoy: You’re speaking metaphorically, are you not?
Julianna: This is your exit interview, Mr. Tolstoy. Leave the questions to me, will you please?
Tolstoy: Oh… Oh god…
Julianna: That’s about all the time we have for this bittersweet parting! Now, Mr. Tolstoy, if you’d be kind enough to show yourself into the Tower’s basement? Wait for me there, please?
Tolstoy: What are you going to do-
Julianna: We’ll see you all tomorrow for Week Two, faithful viewers! Good night!
