Pimp-pimp hooray!

The now reigning “king” of hip-hop Kendrick Lamar continues to share his excellent music with the masses with a new EP titled untitled unmastered. Disclaimer: it features 8 untitled and unmastered tracks but despite the raw nature of the album, it sounds so skillfully created that what is meant to sound incomplete is more complete than any newly released music this year.

Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry Sinks the Unbelievable Game Winning Shot, The Internet Loses Its Minds

The 2016 NBA season is looking more predictable than determining the color of an Oscar winner, and in this case, for the NBA, it’s golden.

Yes, the Golden State Warriors led by the bad man himself, Stephen Curry, have taken the league by storm, setting an record with their incredible start to the season, posting a win-loss total of an uncanny 53-5 (as of March 1st). They are currently on pace to demolish the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls’ 72-10 tally — and the best hope to throw up a roadblock in the Warriors’ bid to unseat Michael, Scottie and Dennis’ place atop the mountain came on February 27th in the form of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook’s Oklahoma City Thunder.

Which Kanye West Will We Get Next?

“I miss the Old Kanye/Straight from the ‘Go Kanye/Chop up the soul Kanye/Set on his goals Kanye” – Kanye West

With the help of footwear/fashion giant adidas, Kanye West pulled off a creative coop on February 11th: he debuted his new album, The Life Of Pablo and his clothing line Yeezy Season 3 both at Madison Square Garden.

The World’s Most Famous Arena never quite had such an “expect the unexpected” feeling like this since a Game 7 of an NBA Finals: the arena was dark with clouds of smoke surfacing from what looked like a blanket covering a stage. Suddenly, the Kardashians and the Jenners make their red carpet entrance. Kanye West steps to the DJ turntables and “Ultra Light Beams” blasts in The World’s Most Famous Arena as the models underneath the blanket were revealed standing still in Yeezy Season Gear.

For two hours, the Garden crowd partied like rock stars, using Kanye West’s album as their soundtrack. The old Kanye, “chop up the soul Kanye,” was back and never better.

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos Win SuperBowl 50 With No Dab In Sight

Cam Newton demonstrates the Dab before it's demise.

Cam Newton demonstrates the Dab before it’s demise.

Some may know the Super Bowl as the football game of the season, some may have seen it as a Beyonce concert featuring special guest Coldplay and Bruno Mars, or some may have seen it as an interruption to a series of witty and expensive commercials.

Last night, however, over 120.8 million people tuned into the NFL’s premiere attraction and witnessed history, though not in the way they expected. On Super Bowl Sunday, the world witnessed the death of the dab.

The Dab according to the Urban Dictionary is a dance in which you throw your arms both to one side and lean your face into the inner part of your elbow in a sneeze like motion. Origins of “the dab” aren’t apparent, however, Cam Newton, along with the Carolina Panthers and rappers Migos and OG Maco, have made “the dab” popular among all people, from little kids in the crowds, to Betty White.

Considering the Carolina Panthers only scored one touchdown in their 24-10 loss to the Denver Broncos, there wasn’t much to dance about. One thing is certain, defense wins championships. To put the nail in the coffin, Denver Broncos defense coordinator, Wade Phillips, tweeted, “A little Dab with do you but too much Dab will undo you!” Aside from the typo, the comment tweeted after the Super Bowl win was too soon considering Hip Hop’s loss.

It’s no secret that the world has a difficult time accepting the hip hop culture that Cam Newton puts at forefront, however, none of that can take away from his greatness and his MVP season. “Haters are going to hate!” Unfortunately for the Panthers, from the first quarter onwards, the Carolina Panthers didn’t play the brand of football that they were accustomed to playing. Cam Newton’s smile was no where to be seen in the second half of the game.

Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller gets his groove on.

Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller gets his groove on.

Von Miller, the Superbowl MVP for the Denver Broncos, did take the time to showcase his version of the dab while celebrating. So, is this the end of the dab, or a transition of dabbing powers from Cam Newton to Von Miller, I guess we’ll have to wait for the NFL season to return. One thing is for certain, the young Cam Newton will have multiple chances to resurrect the dance craze, as well as become a Super Bowl champion.
