The school system is not the only way of becoming more knowledgeable, Emerson states that the world around us opens up our thoughts and through actions we are able to gain wisdom just how Frankenstein’s monster was able to use the world around him to grow as a person.

What’s good:
1- You identify a theory text and a literary text.
2- You make a claim.
Concerns:
1-your claim is too broad and almost not about the books. You’re very loose and vague in your identification of what part of Emerson and what part of Shelley’s novel. I’d rather you point to a specific concept or image that Emerson uses and then posit a claim about how that concept or image plays out in x, y, and z parts of Shelley’s novel.
2- Watch your language. You have a comma where you need a period. In general you have crammed three sentences into one.
3-The monster’s name is NOT Frankenstein.
