Competitive Landscape – The 4P’s of Marketing Diagram

For my competitive landscape diagram, I chose the 4P’s of Marketing Analysis. Well, the idea is to create an application that benefits the time of the students and at the same time have a private personal trainer in the school gym. Without having the need to go out to other places and with a low price, students will be able to have a better healthy lifestyle. The idea is to recruit 5 personal trainers (students) to work as a team, all depending on the amount of demand that we get in the process.

We know that our strength is that we are students and therefore we can use the gym at any time. This gives us a unique perspective on solving our clients’ problems without having to leave school. We also plan to make a free website to share videos of the stories, experiences, and goals that clients have. This will give us a great advantage in sharing the videos and making us known for our excellent work.

Focusing on the diagram, we can talk about the part of the price where we emphasize that the gym and membership service is free for being students and that only through the application can they have the privilege of using the personal trainer service according to the schedule of the student for a low cost.

Promotion, this application offers personal training (1 to 1), plus how to have a good nutrition and how to have a good mindset all the time. We will use Freemium software so that students can try the service for a few days for free and then do their routine schedule during the week.

The Place part, the advantage that the gym is in the same university and the students would save time and money. So, the students will not have the need to go to other gymnasiums and pay more for the personal trainer service, plus the membership and monthly fee for the gym.

Last, Product part in the application you will find the section of my workout plan, schedule time, make appointments, cancelations, notifications, and promotions. The value proposition of this product is that students must manage their time, have a healthy lifestyle, and save money.

Finally, there are many competitors in this field that we can consider great threats, but I think it will not affect us if the student wants to save time and money with our excellent services. We are going to focus on making the student’s life easier and more accessible for them. Students will have more time to do their homework, attend workshops, get to class on time, go to the library and have time to eat.

  1. Hi Steven I think you did a great job on this blog post. The 4 P’s of Marketing Analysis diagram is easy to understand and to the point. I could see myself using this service especially the personal trainer. Most gyms charge 40-50 dollars per session on top of monthly fees, in your ideal world how much would you want to charge students for this service? If the difference is big enough I could imagine it drawing a lot of people in. The app is a really cool addition to the idea as students were always using our phones to schedule our lives so our health shouldn’t be any different.
