Blog 10

I took this picture yesterday while I was standing in the middle of the Brooklyn Bridge. The sky in this photo was originally colorless because of the rain. Then I wanted this photo to have an evening sunset, so I edited it with my phone. I made the colors of the picture more vibrant, added shadows to the background part of the bridge, and the sky became redder. This change gave me a more visual sense that the Brooklyn Bridge connects the two sides of Brooklyn and Manhattan. I think it gives people a sense of hope after seeing this photo. Since no matter how long the road ahead is, walking to the end is a beautiful thing. In this photo, I also see the stark contrast between the smallness of humans and the huge bridge. I hope the message this photo sends to the viewer is that the bridge was created by the wisdom and efforts of many people. When small people come together, they can accomplish what one person cannot do and become less small.

  1. This image looks very good, when I first saw it, the first thing that came to my mind was hope and dawn, the contrast of colors also brings a stronger visual effect, and I think you have expressed it very reasonably.

  2. I thought your photo was very beautiful. As you’ve intended the vibrance of the red sky contrasts really well with the rest of the image. The foreground and background of the photo create a great sense of depth. The symmetry and subtle reflection of the wet planks adds to the beauty and realism of the photo. I also thought your intended messages for the photo were nicely put, especially in the last sentence.

  3. I find this picture very visually appealing. Personally, I love rain and I like how to sky looks with all the clouds. I also like the wet wooden floors and how there are very few people on the bridge. This setting gives me a sense of comfort and I think it would be relaxing to take a quiet walk here.

  4. I love this photo and the editing choices that you have made to it. I like the shades of bright red that you choose to add to it at the top part of the photo. It is a very beautiful picture to look at.
