Songs About Jackie

Published by under Uncategorized

Hi guys! Here are some songs I think say the most about me, and they’re good songs too! There’s a youtube link to each of the songs:

1.¬†Good Feeling by Flo Rida- OK so we all know this song that was played non stop on the radio for a while. But, I think it represents me well because I’m one of those obnoxious people that is in a great mood at all times. Very few things get me down and I like being happy, smiling and living positively!

2. Je Cours by Stromae- This is a really cool song in French by Belgian rapper Stromae. “Je Cours” in French means I run, which is something I love to do, and I also love the French language and have taken French for 6 years.

3. Fashion by Lady Gaga- I love fashion, Vogue is one of my favorite things to read, so this song is really fun to listen to. It also plays in the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic, which I definitely am, so that works very nicely too.

4. Seventeen Forever by Metro Station- I’ve always been really really young for my grade (my birthday is in September) and I’m usually much younger than the other people in my class. I’m 17 now and I definitely feel like I’ve been 17 forever!

5. This City by Patrick Stump and Lupe Fiasco- There is no city in the world I love more than NYC, and I finally get to live in it! I’ve always loved NYC, and I attended high school here too. But I hated commuting, I hated having to leave this amazing city everyday. Living here is definitely a huge highlight about being able to go to Baruch.

6. Turbulence by Steve Aoki and Lil Jon- I looove house music and I love to travel, and whenever I hear Turbulence I think of the kind that happens when you fly, which I definitely do not like. But, this happens to be one of my favorite songs.

7. Smile by Lily Allen- I chose this song not only because of it’s catchy beat, but also because the title is my favorite thing to do! Like I said, I’m really always smiling, people always compliment me on my smile and count on it to brighten their day. I also love making other people smile and laugh, I think smiling is one of the most important things a person can do, because it’s so simple yet it sends such a strong message.

8. Collide by Howie Day- I chose this song for a few reasons. First, it’s actually not such a terrible song, contrary to what a lot of people say. Second, a fun little fact about me is that I got into a little fender bender with Yankee first basemen Mark Teixeira (everything was fine and it ended up being pretty funny in the end, (but it was totally his fault) so that’s what I first thought of when I hear the title “Collide”. Third and lastly, there’s a lyric in this song that goes “Even the best fall down sometimes”, which are words I find incredibly true. There are people that are truly amazing out there, but nobody is perfect. and you have to accept someone’s flaws, even if they’re basically perfect otherwise. This is one of my favorite mantras.

So that’s it! I hope you guys enjoy my musical selections, and just reiterating that all these links are from YouTube and I do not own any of them.
