For my first blog i went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the MET for short. Honestly i have been to the MET a couple of times and i can still say that it is a great place to go by yourself or with friends. I went to all the exhibits that they had to offer, my personal favorites were the native american masterpieces, celebrating the arts of japan, the ancient egypt wing and the greek sculptures.  I learned a lot while strolling around the museum, for example the stories behind some of the sculptures like the hercules statute of him wearing a lions skin. It dedicates the moment where he kills the nemean lion, an order he was given by the king eurystheus. Also the egyptian wing is very beautiful, there is a huge fountain and it has a very calming effect. I highly recommend going to the MET because you can learn a lot just by going around and sightseeing all the exhibits they have to offer and for students with ID’s you can pay whatever amount you like, in my case i payed 6 dollars. I also recommend  going to other museums located in New York all of them are very educational and it is fun to go with a group of friends or by yourself. I say this because i have been to almost all of them.
