President Herbert Hoover was elected presdient in 1928. He was born in Iowa in 1874. Many Americans were unsatisfied with Hoover because it seemed like Hoover was uncaring and not doing much in regards of  the Great Depression. Hoover quoted previous president, Grover Clevland, “The government should not support the people… Federal aid… weakens the sturdiness of our national character”. He is known to one of the worst presidents of al time. The Great Depression was a time of hardships for everyone. As president of the US it is your job to maintain a stable economy. It was not a surprise when he lost the next election to Franklin D Roosevelt.
