This video depicts women taking over the work force in World War II. Since all the men were off fighting the war, women often had to take over their jobs to keep the country going. The Song in the video is called Rosie The Riveter. The name Rosie the Riveter was coined during the war and the name meant women doing her part to help the American War. Posters were often made of “Rosie the Riveter”. She is usually seen wearing blue overalls with her hair tied in a polka dot cloth saying ” We can do it.” as seen in the beginning of the video. The Four Vagabonds is singing how Rosie(women) were doing their best working in the factories to support America throughout the war. They were supportive of women in the workforce.
