The Korean war was a direct violation to Truman’s policy of containment. This resulted in the United States involvement in the war. If The United States did not intervene, North Korea would of acheived its goal of unifying the entire country under communist control. This additional land and resources could make Korea a more serious threat to the freedom of democracy. Americans might have a greater fear of communism because of this. Americans would of never of lost 33,000 soldiers if they did not participate in the war. My life would be different because I would probably be born to misjudge and fear Korean-Americans.
