The atomic bomb brought an end to the war as soon as possible. If it was never dropped, Japan would’ve stayed in the war and more lives would be lost. When the first bomb was dropped Japan continued battle, it wasn’t until the second that Japan was convinced to surrender. Everyone not only Americans were intimidated and scared of the destruction caused by nuclear warfare. It is the most powerful type of weapon known to man and maybe if they weren’t dropped in Japan at this time, it might’ve been used at another time. There are many peace treaties banning any type of production of nuclear weapons, and I feel much safer knowing that another event like at Hiroshima most likely will never happen again.
