From the 1990s to the present day a lot of the songs are about love, life or heartache. One song created in 1997 is I’ll be Missing You by Puff Daddy featuring Faith Evans, which was one of the top 25 songs in Billboard Hot 100 is about love. Around the 1960s, songs were either about social protest on the war or social equality becuase that was what was happening during that time. I believe that songs are based on what is happening at that present time either with the world or their artist’s personal life. During the 1960s, it was important to talk about the war and freedom, while in the present day it’s more important to talk about our personal life.
