Hands Up If You Feelin’ The Same

This song is Sippin’ Champagne by The Cataracs. This song talks about a much different type of freedom than that of the 1960s – 1970s. It relates to the freedom that most young adults feel, which is the freedom to go out, smoke, drink, party, and be careless. This shows the dramatic change in the connotation of the word “freedom”. Freedom now means being able to liberate ourselves from stress on our Friday nights and weekends, not gaining rights. Our culture has changed drastically in a couple decades, whether it be for better or worse. Regardless, I still love this song.
