Above is a clip of Jefferson Airplane performing live at Woodstock.  Jefferson Airplane was a band formed in California during the 1960’s and remains known as one of the founders whom was at the forefront of psychedelic rock movement.  This new rock emerged during the 1960’s and the clip seems to be a great example of the freedom and liberation expressed at Woodstock during this movement.

At the forefront of this movement Jefferson Airplane was one of the first bands to reach mainstream success.  They also began to tour outside the United States traveling to Europe and continued to spread the movement.  Not only did they perform at Woodstock yet they also were at the other two largest rock shows Altamont and Monterey.
