This song that allowed people audience to realize that they had the freedom to enjoy life and party, incorporating a dance, the twist, along with the tune.

The audience probably picked up the catchy tune and danced to the Twist, considering the fact that the song had such a positive feedback not only across America, but across England as well. From the present day point of view on this song, I feel like a song like this that promotes celebration and partying caused a domino effect that spurred America’s celebrations.
