LeeM- Neighborhood

I chose my neighborhood to primarily be Main Street, Flushing. I’ve grown up here my entire life. I’ve seen it changed in the twenty-one years that I’ve been alive. There are times when we tell one another that we can’t see how things have changed since we see it everyday. That is not the case for Flushing. Although I live here, I even feel how fast it’s been moving and I wanted to take this opportunity to show us all how drastic and fast-pace things are evolving.
There is constant construction and a lot of new and old businesses fighting for money and customers. A lot diversity has also gone into Flushing but it is still primarily Chinese-Asian. I hope that through this photo essay, it has given you all some insight on the area.

I also highly encourage you to visit Flushing. It’s definitely a great place to go whether you know Flushing at all. I guarantee you’ll have a good time. It’s been getting a lot of tourist attraction the past few years. If you love food, you’ll love Flushing.

Thank you!

  1. Good shish Martin. I felt like yu captured the essence of the neighborhood streets in flushing. I liked the opener as I had said before because if you’re going to and from life in flushing yu usually live on the 7 line. The construction in the background is like trademark not just for queens but just the greater city of New York. Yu will always see construction anywhere yu go especially in nyc. noice

  2. Really great job Martin. I really feel you made an effort to sort of zoom in on life in Flushing, and in contrast give us a great view of the landscape.
