I chose my roommate Drew Weiss as my subject for my person project. He is 21 years old and a filmmaking major at The School of Visual Arts. Drew hopes to make movies one day that people from all over the world can enjoy. Being the creative that Drew is as I was taking my photos he structured the shots in a way that best represents his visual style.

Drew showed me how tedious editing can become when making a film.
Drew showing his love for money.
Drew’s obsession with French Bulldogs shows a lot about his personality

Putting in the final touches before leaving his dorm for good.

Some good shots of an aspiring filmmaker. But here are some suggestions: the shots are all indoors in rather tight spaces which makes it all a bit claustrophobic. Drew’s young and not confined to being indoors so show him out in the world. It would be advisable to avoid photos of people eating, they’re not particularly revelatory. Everyone brushes their teeth, eats, speaks on cellphones, etc. Also use either photo #1 or #3, it’s repetitive to have two similar shots of Drew with his laptop.
These are great, I especially like that you got kind of up-close portrait shots of this guy doing all sorts of things. I love the photo of him and his dog, as well as the picture of him outside with the city lights in the background. I think you seem to have a good sense of variety, compositionally and in the activities he’s doing, and you manage to capture his personality pretty well!
