Lindsey Boylan for Congress seeking virtual campaign interns

LINDSEY BOYLAN FOR CONGRESS

Lindsey is the first woman to run for New York’s 10th congressional district in 50 years. Her opponent has spent 26 years in office and in that time has only sponsored one piece of legislation, that was non-ceremonial. We need someone who is present and active in the district so that we can tackle the issues important to us. Lindsey is pushing to pass a Green New Deal that can help stabilize the economy and stem climate change simultaneously, while her opponent falls in-line with the status quo. As Deputy Advisor for Economic Development in NY State, Lindsey worked on green solutions throughout the state, helped pass a $15 minimum wage and paid family leave, and managed green spaces throughout NYC.

The campaign is looking for passionate and detail-oriented interns to work remotely in support of digital field organizing and social media efforts. If you are interested please send a resume to James Chapman, Ms. Boylan’s Field Director, at [email protected]. If you would like to stay up to date with the campaign, please follow the campaign on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to make sure Lindsey’s platform continues to make an impact.

Amplify Organizing Fellowship (Applications due March 23rd)

We’ll train them, connect them to a network of mentors, and place them in paid summer organizing positions, where they’ll fight for Democratic candidates and progressive causes. Then, we’ll offer them the coaching, resources, and connections they need to launch a career in progressive politics.

Here’s a link to our application. The final deadline is Monday, March 23. It should take about 30 minutes to complete and no political experience is required to apply.

**Campaign Interns**

Interns will come away from these 3 1/2 months feeling that they have accomplished something purposeful, will have connected with neighbors in their community, and also will have made great friends, all while having fun as a part of the intern community. Working side by side with the Campaign Manager and senior campaign team, these young students will be involved in crucial aspects of a political campaign.

Their months will be spent knocking on doors as a team (never alone), making phone calls, engaging with constituents, creating campaign slogans and art work, and exploring potential community partnerships.

**What makes a student a good fit for the campaign? **

(1) Students who are interested in politics and government.
(2) Students who want to be involved within their community.
(3) Students who have not yet found a spring internship and want to do something meaningful.
