What’s good:
You make a claim.
My concerns:
1) This thesis does not address the paper assignment for this course. I can tell because you do not mention any literary or theory texts, and the assignment asks for you to put an aspect of a theory text in conversation with an aspect of a literary text.
2) Your argument is too broad. You’re purporting to make a claim about humanity in general. You’d have to write your own treatise on education, which will be helpful for the group project, but this paper is the traditional part of the class, and you need to narrow down, look at, and make claims about specific texts.
3) The second sentence is a claim that belongs to Locke, but you don’t cite him or suggest that you will be talking about his work.
