2024 Highlights

The 2024 Research & Creative Inquiry Expo was spearheaded by the Baruch Honors Program and the College’s Bernard L. Schwartz Communications Institute. This year, more than 180 undergraduates participated in a total of 101 research projects.

Andreassi Award for Best Poster in Psychology

Professor John Andreassi was a physiological psychologist and esteemed member of the Baruch faculty from 1973 – 2008. To commemorate his strong commitment to undergraduate research, the Andreassi award was established in 2010, and has been made possible each year through the generous donations from his family.

This year’s winners of the annual Andreassi Award for Best Poster in Psychology:

  • Alexandra Bunde and Jennifer Lai; advised by Dr. Jennifer Mangels.
    • Poster Title: Alpha Brainwaves and Relaxation.
  • Haris Iqbal, Protoy Saha and Stephanie Medina, who is a student at John Jay College; advised by Dr. Charles Scherbaum.
    • Poster Title: The Use of Asynchronous Video Interviews (AVI) for Hiring in STEM Jobs.
