Gen Z interview – Guadalupe Perez

“Yes I would vote for this elections , in facts I early voted. To cast my vote means to speak my truth over who I want to elect  in the office and other branches within the government.”
“The way that this presidential election will affect gen Z in particular is that it will cause a huge movement over there own beliefs and rights. Gen Z are the future and when something is not right or it’s not benefiting there future they are ready to speak there truth and attack the opposite party.”
“The political issues that are important to me are immigration, COVID and climate change . I care about these things first because they are issues that hold a lot of concern in my life. The policies or plans that’s each candidate is trying to input will have an affect not only on me but many communities . Without climate change plan we won’t have a planet ????humans have created a huge damage over time it’s time to take action upon those issues and make change . Covid the way it’s manage is important to me, because it’s about lives that we are talking about. Not just any disease like the flu or a cold indeed this is a more deadly issue that people are facing. The next plan and phase is what is going to determine what protocols our country is going to take to improve upon this deadly disease. Finally Immigration is something that hits home for me as a first generation student whose parents immigrated from Mexico to the USA. The candidates actions and the way they are going to help my community is what’s is mainly important to me.”

“Yes, I will be voting for this election. I think it’s very important not only for my generation but generations to come. By casting my vote I get to express my 15th amendment and have some control over the decisions being made in the country I live in.”
“This presidential election affects gen z in particular because our lives/futures basically depend on it. We have a lot to lose if we don’t make the right choice.”
“The most important political issues to me are universal healthcare. We are living a global pandemic that has left many without jobs. Many people have already been faced with the complications of Covid and it is important for everyone to have access to the care they need. Climate Change is very important to me too. The severity of it will only get worse; something needs to be done now.”
