Enrichment Workshop

From all the enrichment workshops we attended this semester, the one that I enjoyed the most was the Sidney Mishkin art gallery. I didn’t get a chance to fully attend the prior workshops so I don’t believe I have enough information to judge them. But the art gallery workshop was very interesting. Because I went with only a couple of students form class, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the photographers in the gallery. Her pictures were focused on jazz music. It was very interesting to see how she captured all the photos and how she wanted to keep the history of jazz alive through the pictures. One of the other photographers in the gallery was only sixteen years old. I was so shocked and inspired that someone who is around the same age as me has such great talent and is putting it to good use. One of the things the photographer told us was to do whatever you want to do and you will be happy. And that was evident because that is what she did and she was so proud of her pictures. Seeing all the different photographs in the gallery made me realize that you should do what you want and what is important to you because that it what is going to make you truly happy and successful.
