First thing I want to shout out the teachers that actually posted useful material on Blackboard. You guys are the realest teachers in the game. Since I’m not a reliable note taker it is not particularly good that most tests are completely based off of what is spoken in class so having the lectures to relay on is awesome. Another thing that I’ve noticed this semester is how tired I would be getting during some classes especially during a certain class at 2:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. However, it is somewhat easy so I do not mind it being boring. Now with the semester coming to a close and a new one coming around the corner, I plan on changing a few habits. Knowing how I am though that probably won’t happen but I’ll give it my best shot. Struggle pizza is life. RNS. HNIC.

I guess this is a good meme to use because it applies to pretty much every single assignment that I have completed this semester. I am definitely guilty of showing up at the library at seven in the morning to finish an essay due that day at the beginning of my 8:15 English class. And even though I have a three day weekend every week, I inevitably begin working on all my online assignment for my Global History class at 10:00 every Sunday.

My first semester at Baruch has been great. I have been able to do well in most of my classes, make friends, and join many clubs. I am already the Chair of Graphics and Advertising for ALPFA, Head of Marketing for Roteract, part of the Campus Affairs Committee in the Undergraduate Student Government, and starting next semester I will be the Director of Photography for Lexicon and Vice Chair for the Arts Committee in the Undergraduate Student Government. I also work for Baruch Undergraduate Admissions as the Social Media Ambassador. To say the least, I am busy. But I have learned that time management is very important and I have been able to balance sleep, school, friends, and activities pretty well. I have already been exposed to many awesome opportunities and I am exited to see what will come in the future semesters. I am very organized and with all of the responsibilities I have, I am pretty good at keeping track of everything. But I have gotten so used to always being active and doing something, when I have those days that I don’t have anything to do, I feel very weird and suspicious like the character in my meme. Free time in college to me is weird, because I have gotten so used to always doing something, if I have nothing to do, I will find something to keep me occupied. For example, I am so exited for this semester to be over, but at the same time I have gotten used to such a busy life style of waking up at 5am to get to my 8am class in the city and getting home at 9pm and starting over again that I don’t really know what I will do to take up my free time during the break. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see…
Meme Post
It was my first day at Baruch, and I had no idea what to expect. I had heard so many rumors about college life, but they were just that rumors. I looked at my schedule and proceeded to take the elevator up to the fifth floor. I walked into class, but since I didn’t see anyone I knew I took the first empty seat I saw. I was nervous and excited at the same time. It was my first day at college, a new adventure, but yet here I was sitting alone. Then I started to panic, what if I’m in the wrong room and I miss my very first college class. Since I got to class twenty minutes early this panic continued for quite a while, but then finally class started. My teacher was so nice and I finally realized I was in the right room. Once class ended I found some friends I had met at convocation day, and at this point I started to calm down.

These two meme reflects my attitude toward assignment, which is i get lazy at times and don’t really do my work until the night before and I’m exhausted all the time. with early classes i have to wake up early when most of the time i go to sleep late only getting a couple of hours of sleep. i have not yet adjust to being a college student and hopefully by next semester i will have comfortable schedule.
Final Assignment
This could not be a better representation of my first semester as a college student. Long nights of staying up until 4 in the morning clutching that English paper or doing all my math homework 20 minutes before class. I have not studied at home for as long as i can remember. Something has to change if I am going to make it all the way through college. Hopefully this upcoming semester is a fresh start to improve me work ethic and planning.

These memes currently represent my first semester of college. I still have yet to master the art of studying which is a habit I hope to break by the Spring semester. Also, free time seems to almost be a myth. I am constantly working, completing assignments, and preparing for my future so much that free time has become irrelevant. #Facts

Final FRO Blog post
The first semester at college was a matter of adjustment for me. As someone who came from a different educational system, it took me some time to adjust to the US system of education. Coming from a bilingual Brazilian school, I found it hard grasping many concepts in lectures and adjusting to the method of studying for different kinds of subjects. I also got to know a lot about the recruitment process at large firms via attending many corporate events and getting know countless people here at Baruch who have been involved in the corporate world in their internships. At the same time, it also broadened my horizons a lot as I was able to see and experience different things. Additionally, this semester has also taught me what to expect from academics at Baruch College and how to deal with the course load I get and how to balance work and extra curricular activities. Alongside the adjustment factor, I also got to meet many new people from whom I have learned a lot and vice versa. In a nutshell, this semester has been nothing but a period of adjustment for me since I came from a different sort of system of education in a different country.

VS

My first three months at Baruch have been pretty good. These two pictures reflect the school work that comes along with it. Getting accepted into college was exciting especially Baruch being one of my top choices but then came the homework, studying, and test taking… it is a lot. It is at times stressful but I know I could handle it and it will pay off in the end.
Monologue
“I feel bad”
“Now you know how people feel when they look at your face”
“Ugh rude and disrespectful”
“Whatever”
“Why you gotta be so rude?”
“Oh my god I love that song”
“I know right! We are gonna be besties”
“Totes!”
“You want Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte?”
“Does the sun come up from the west? Of course I want Starbucks!”
“Ok first of all, the sun comes up from the east”
“Omg no way, I totally read on the quiz it rises from the west”
“Brittany that was a true and false quiz. You need Jesus.
“I’m Buddhist I believe in reincarceration.”
“Reincarnation?”
“Yea, that makes me pretty after I’m dead or something right? Wait no, I think that’s plastic surgery”
