The book Night by Elie Wiesel, although a novel, is also a very important historical source that helps us formulate historical evidence of the severity of the Holocaust. Although no one can describe what it was like to live through the Holocaust by reading the book, people can get a more accurate view as to how harsh it was as well as the historical evidence and facts behind it. Such on the spot evidence helps historians write the history books in order to porytray how it was in those times to the populus.
