On the verge of education

Freedom of education was limited to only white people. Only a few lucky blacks were able to attend school. However, it was not the best quality of education they were given comparing to the whites. Even though they were not receiving the best of education, they took all they could get in schools and even learned out of schools. Blacks were determined on learning new things—“a desire to read the Bible, the need to prepare for the economic marketplace, and the opportunity to take part in politics”. With this being a few goals out of learning, a few were successful. With all the struggles that many had to face, only a few made it to the end.

Sadly, the freedom of education for blacks was not realized in the short term. There were many struggles and issues that kept occurring. Whites kept degrading educations for blacks. They were not given the same education as the whites. In schools, blacks were not learning enough and as much as the whites, therefore, they started learning outside of schools.

It is about time that everyone was getting a similar education. In the long run, everyone is granted education. Unfortunately, it may not be the same education due to financial class. The poor are not financially able to attend the same schools as the rich. Race does not play a factor of this because there are rich black people and poor white people and vice-versa. “Education is the power to success!”

Blacks can be valedictorians too!
