William McKinley created the McKinley Tariff.  He continued to maintain the gold standard.  McKinley created the first modern campaign because of the amount of money put into his campaign.  This changed the way politics campaigned forever. McKinley was all about the money.

The reason why he used high tariffs on imported goods was to help prosperity.  If the price is too high to afford items from other countries, people will have to buy items from America. This would help out America’s economy.

1. I would ask him if he did not think he was good enough to win without all the expensive advertisements.

2. The other question I would ask McKinley would be what his reaction to scholars interpretation of the Wizard of Oz would be.
