Rosa parks is widely remembered today as a symbol of ordinary blacks determination to resist the daily injustices and indignities of the Jim Crow South. Her life makes it clear that the cicil rights revolution was built on earlier struggles. Rosa Parks was a veteran in black politics. Above is a mug-shot of Rosa Parks after she was arrested and an educational video on the events that took place. This sense of freedom paved the ground for the 1960s because equal rights will later be expanded for African Americans.
