Rage Against the Machine is a band from the nineties that always stressed a political message in their lyrics. Their approach was completely different from my other video by Buffalo Springfield. Where Buffalo expressed peace in the world, Rage wanted people to fight back. The band’s name paints the picture of what they represent, rage against the machine, or government. They wanted people to get angry and fight against the governments that oppress our everyday freedoms. Every song is powered by exploding bass lines, coupled by Zach’s poetic speeches, that tells the people to stand up and don’t be pushed around.
