Jason Mraz’s No Stopping Us gives a general message of freedom saying if we try, we can accomplish something. The message and goal is very vague as we don’t know what they’re trying to accomplish and what their problem is. On the other hand, Eyes on the Prize, a song from the 60’s, clearly presents its message of overcoming the abuse protesters took and focus on their goal to gain their rights and freedom. From how the song differs, society back then and today are different as interests and motives have changed. Back then, people were troubled with issues of rights and equality, while people, today, are trouble by minor, little things.
