The Swann v. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education court case took place in 1971. This court case made it required to extend transportation to students to achieve school integration. During the 1990s is when international human rights orginizations helped include access to health care, expand women rights and the rights of descendants of the orignal inhabitants of America. Segregation was aboloshied at the turn of the century.
All of these events are connected becuase they all have to do with the people of America gaining rights. They were able to obtain the freedom America promised. Each individual act of trying to create a small change in culture formed together to help create a tremendous change in American society.
