The artists responsible for these posters clearly see the war as a “good war”. They show this by portraying a choice between freedom and slavery. It represents Nazi Germany as an evil which will corrupt and enslave mankind while we are the protectors of everything good in the world. It makes it seem as if we are fighting for a good cause. You can see in the bottom left hand picture that there are people at every point of the swastika and it reminds me of an old wheel that people used to turn in factories. I am not sure what it is called but several people would turn it in a circle to grind wheat and to make other cogs move. It represents enslavement.
