I met Jasmine at 1:30am on New Years Day this past year. By 6:00pm that same day, we were on a one-way flight to Puerto Rico together. Over the next four months, our love developed into something deep and profound. This collection of photos documents our travels as we progressed in our relationship with her letting me into her life: who she is, where she came from and how it all combined together in influencing who she is today. Her last name phonetically sounds like “Light-Soul” which I feel perfectly represents her spirit and energy: a soul of light. I have met a lot of people from all over the world, and I can honestly say that she is by far one of the most unique and incredible individuals I have come across to date. A powerful individual with a vast depth of worldly experiences, there is a never a dull moment when you are around her.

Jasmine’s mother, Kat, and her stepfather, Bill, take her dog, Layla, for a stroll in the fields around their house.
Mari, Jasmine’s favorite (and only) neice gets some help climbing a tree from her aunt and grandfather (Jasmine’s Dad). “Family is very important to me” Jasmine states as she explains the large role her family played in shaping her values at this time in her life.

Jasmine grew up on a self sustaining piece of land in a rural town in Pennsylvania. She continues to practice her gardening skills everytime she visits home. “Growing up with no tv and at times no electricity, allowed me to develop a powerful connection with nature which I truly appreciate now that I am older.”
Her father, who runs a diverse organic farm, whose main crop is garlic, shows Jasmine his new Turkey hatchlings.
Jasmine and Mari are almost always attached at the hip whenever “Min Min” comes to visit.
Jasmine shows off her silly side.
“When I fell out of that tree my whole world changed. The fall literally grounded me; It altered my path and the direction I was going in my life.” Jasmine gives thanks to the remains of a tree she fell out of almost four years ago. Her operating doctor called her his “Taj Mahal of surgery” in reconstructing her right wrist. She couldn’t live without an assistant for nearly four months.
The gypsy life in action while waiting for our flight to Puerto Rico. Jasmine’s traveled to over 20 cities across the US in the past four months alone. That doesn’t count her trip to Guadeloupe at the end of March.
Relaxing on Baker’s Beach in San Francisco.
An adventuring enthusiast, Jasmine demonstrates her diving skills at a waterfall in Saut de Acamote, Guadeloupe.
Jasmine practices Sudarshan Kriya – a breathing technique developed by the Art Of Living Foundation’s guru, Sri Sri Ravi Shenkar. Despite the hectic travel schedule, she finds time to center herself in beautiful locations like the one pictured here: Pointe de Chateaux, Guadeloupe.
A moment that truly represents her playful and beautiful energy on the beach in Puerto Rico.
Even while on vacation, she is a motivated and driven worker.
Jasmine’s ariel ballet skills are on full display with a new friend at a party in Austin, Texas.
Jasmine and her close friend, Meredith, enjoy the sunrise after a burner party in downtown NYC. The tiger face paint from their costumes still remains.
Since she is spending more time in New York City, we created a work space for her in our bedroom so she can be more efficient between business trips.
Jasmine says goodbye for a while to New York City and the Hudson River after a brief stay.
A woman that’s always on the road, she waves goodbye on her way to Philadelphia.
“Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled and that has made all the difference.” One of the profound quotes she lives her life by. Rather fitting as she strolls through the cobble stone streets of Puerto Rico.
