2. Being a college student in NYC. environment adjustments, spending habits, study habits, no actual campus, daily routine, travel.

I think both these ideas have potential. I worry about access and photos for the first idea. It might be difficult to get permission to run photographs of brand-name items. If that’s your favorite topic, we could discuss more. The commuting NYC college student idea is excellent. I feel like there is a wealth of topics to write about and it would be relatively easy to find people to interview. Let’s talk more about this in class.

As far as the first idea, I don’t think it is specific enough. Also, remember to stick to NYC. hmnn, how about you take that idea and narrow it down a little bit? I bet there are some small, niche footwear designers trying to make a name for themselves. Maybe even focus on all athletics in Brooklyn/Queens/Bronx etc. For example, the rising college basketball stars that live in that area, review some great athletic facilities in that area, find some great athletic small businesses in the area?
