Welcome to the CTL’s Teach Online portal! We have aggregated our online teaching resources here so that you may be able to explore and learn about teaching online—in your own way, wherever you may be, and on your own time.
While many of us have great models of teaching to draw on from our time as students in face-to-face classrooms, the same is not necessarily true for the online classroom. We hope that these resources are helpful to you as you continue your teaching practice.
Teach Online Course Prep Guide: This prep guide will help you to take some “bite-sized” steps toward transitioning your course online. In addition to our researched guidance and online resources, there are several opportunities to get more support, including one-on-one conversations with CTL consultants, synchronous workshops, and asynchronous opportunities to engage with your colleagues at Baruch
Faculty Innovations Showcase: A series of informal talks that highlight teaching innovations that have emerged or solidified in the transition to online teaching. In this series, Baruch faculty show what they worked on during the Fall 2020 semester.
Zoom Guide: This CTL guide offers instruction and advice on the pedagogical uses of Zoom. Zoom is designed for all instructors who need a remote/virtual class meeting platform to support any of the learning modalities currently offered by Baruch. Technical assistance for Zoom is available here.
Teach Online Glossary: A list of important concepts in the field of online teaching, defined collaboratively by faculty and experts at Baruch.
FAQs for Online Teaching: Our recommendations for some frequently asked questions about online teaching and learning at Baruch. In the coming weeks we’ll add more questions, and we always try to be as concise and direct as possible.
