Quentin Tarantino’s newest western is finally being released for home viewing. “The Hateful Eight,” starring Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh, will hit stores on DVD and on demand March 29th — though it is still available in some theaters across the country.

This is not Tarantino’s first western and hopefully it won’t be his last – Django Unchained could be loosely described as a romantic bloodbath – with Samuel L. Jackson turning out to be the ultimate bad guy.  In this new movie Tarantino continues his signature moves of raw grit, straight talk and bloody massacred.

Tarantino writes this one almost like an Alfred Hitchcock film: we trust no one.

These daily holidays have been around for years but a recent resurgence in popularity has brought them back into the public eye through trending social media hashtags, categories that have propelled third tier events into the holiday major leagues.

The music industry proves once again how corrupt and greedy it has become, human decency be damned.

Pop star Kesha recently attempted to void her six album recording contract with Sony because her producer “Dr.Luke”, Luke Gottwald, allegedly abused her — mentally, physically and sexually, according to TMZ — multiple times over the last ten years.

The case was brought to the Supreme Court in Manhattan last week, where the public learned, among other things, that the 28-year-old Tennessee native was sexually assaulted for the first time by Gottwald on her 18th birthday. You can read the complaint in its entiretyhere.

Yes, the Oscars were on this past Sunday. Yes, the lack of diversity in the nominees was a huge issue raised by everyone and their mother and was talked about (and rightfully so) continuously throughout the ceremony. And yes, Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar for Best Actor for The Revenant after an entire career’s worth of crushing losses.

And that’s all I’m going say about the Oscars. You’re now asking yourself: one of television’s biggest events just occurred and I don’t want to talk about it?
