Here and my friend and I share our last moments before he went off to the army. We always been good friends and we were talking and eating together having conversations about life. Great times like this is what I live for. We were caught off guard here and the picture came out better than anticipated. I slightly edited this photo to make it low light because it was too light at first. Keeping it saturated and the lighting good throughout the whole picture.

This picture that I took was to capture the memory of my friends and I going on one last bike ride before everyone went off for college. I knew these people my whole life and we always went on bike rides. This one was to reminisce all the those times and to do it one last time before we officially enter the next chapter of our lives. I edited this photo to make the dark colors darker and the light colors lighter. I was just experimenting with a few editing styles, and when I came upon this one, it really stood out to me. This editing the shows that we are moving towards the light, symbolizes that we have a bright future ahead of us. This photo can be interpreted as both sad and exciting. Someone can see this as people living their last childhood memories, while another person can see this as people that have accomplished a lot and are awaiting an exciting future.

This photo graph was taken around December 2021, I believe it was my 1st week working at my new position at my job as a barback. I really started to appreciate liquor and hospitality when I got promoted. I hope to bartend one day while I finish school. One of my coworkers asked if I wanted a photo since I looked really happy and that’s how it was taken. In terms of editing, I added a vigente as well as a black/white filter, I was going for a 1940’s vibe and it worked. The black and white really makes my uniform stand out, and the centerpiece of this image is the variety of liquor/spirits we have at the bar. If you remove the modern furniture and masks this looks straight out of an old vintage movie. Overall this isn’t meant to be interpreted as an abstract image, but more of a feeling. I have feelings of accomplishment, excitement and steadiness when I look at this image.

The other day my blush fell and shattered. This was very painful for me, and anyone who has broken their makeup before knows this pain. I still thought it was funny so I took the photo. Looking back at it, I realize you could actually interpret it in different ways and take it seriously. For example, although this blush is shattered, it’s still pretty. And even though it is broken, it still works. I think these interpretations may relate to people in different ways or maybe not at all. I think it’s interesting when little things like these can be thought about in various ways and turned into a metaphor or something. I believe this can cater to any audience as long as they are open-minded. I edited it to be gloomy but still kept the color.

I took this picture a couple weeks ago, so I decided to use it for this assignment. This was taken out of a concert I went to, and I decided to use it because it stood out to me compared to all my other photos. I edited it in order to make the colors pop out more. There were dozens of lights all in different colors, and I knew that if I were to tweak some settings, I could make the colors appear much brighter than they originally were. I also added a little bit of a blur effect, the picture was already blurry but I wanted to emphasize the blur more to give it a moving effect. The message of this scene is supposed to give off a party vibe, and just overall enjoyment and a good time. As you can see, multiple people are smiling and just enjoying life at the moment.

This was a photo I took in Center City, Philadelphia during spring break last week. I was able to capture the fountain water and the sprinklers in motion and decided to edit the exposure and the contrast of the photo. I was trying to make the image look vintage. The blue of the statue on the fountain and the blue of the sky work together to produce a vibrant yet subtle color scheme. The photo is meant to give off calming and soothing vibes for people that just like to sit and enjoy the view. Just by looking at the photo, I want people to envision the wind swaying on a warm day and the sounds of loved ones filling up the air.

I edited this photo to be very dark but still bright in a way. As you can see the water flowing is clear but everything surrounding the water is dark. I did this so the interpretation can relate to real life situations. The message this photo can give is that it doesn’t matter what’s surrounding you as long as you keep going you will be fine. This photo and message can connect to people who love nature and are spiritual. People who naturally love nature feel like that’s their comfort and they go there to clear their minds or just for peace. People who are spiritual tend to use water for everything. For example, Christians always have a bottle containing “holy water” that they use when praying for people. Also, when getting baptized you’re being ducked in a pool of water or in the ocean.
