I edited this photo to be very dark but still bright in a way. As you can see the water flowing is clear but everything surrounding the water is dark. I did this so the interpretation can relate to real life situations. The message this photo can give is that it doesn’t matter what’s surrounding you as long as you keep going you will be fine. This photo and message can connect to people who love nature and are spiritual. People who naturally love nature feel like that’s their comfort and they go there to clear their minds or just for peace. People who are spiritual tend to use water for everything. For example, Christians always have a bottle containing “holy water” that they use when praying for people. Also, when getting baptized you’re being ducked in a pool of water or in the ocean.
I really like your interpretation of the photo because after reading it, I saw the image very differently. I wonder how much the meaning would change if the image was not black and white themed and super dark?
A great picture you chose, to me, I can see the beauty in the picture, and nature pops out at me aswell. However, the black and white filter makes the interpretation of the picture to be different, which is an interesting thing you did.
I like the idea behind this picture, in my interpretation without the meaning you gave this picture can be seen as Erie or dark. I think spirituality is a great way to define it.
