CTL Conversations: What are best practices teaching multilingual writers & speakers? (Day 1)

February 15, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EST

Baruch’s student body has a significant number of students who are multilingual and who may be experiencing the American educational system for the first time. How do we strengthen the communication skills of these students? How do we encourage class participation and design assignments that engage all of our students? What are resources that the college offers to help students and faculty?

Join us in a CTL Conversation cosponsored by Tools for Clear Speech and The Writing Center

Wednesday, Feb. 15th, 4:00-5:00pm in NVC 14-270

and/or

Thursday, Feb.16th, 12:30-1:30pm in NVC 14-267

Both conversations will include consultants from Tools for Clear Speech and the Writing Center who specialize in teaching English as a second language (TESOL). Faculty are welcome to attend just one or both of the conversations and to drop in and leave at any point during the session. Refreshments available. RSVP appreciated but not necessary at https://goo.gl/forms/Llb3a7OV4qJxFE2w2.
