CUNY Innovative Teaching Academy (CITA) Summer Series 2022: Creating Inclusive Classrooms: Dialogic Inquiry as a Cross-Cutting Curricular Approach

June 23, 2022 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Hosted by: CUNY Central Office of Academic Affairs

Join us for a workshop guided by Caitlin Henningsen, from the Frick Collection.

Teaching at The Frick Collection is rooted in slow and sustained looking at celebrated works of art. Typically grounded in the historic setting of the Frick mansion on Fifth Avenue, such teaching increasingly occurs online with the aid of digital images. Together, we will participate in a facilitated dialog and consider how engagement with works of art can foster students’ curiosity, insight, and empathy.  Application to multiple curricular areas will be emphasized as we model and examine the dialogic method.  This workshop will be led by Caitlin Henningsen, Associate Museum Educator for College and University Programs, The Frick Collection.

The Frick Collection is a CUNYArts partner, and all CUNY students and all faculty are admitted to the museum for free.
