This two-part workshop series will be led by the Rockefeller Archive Center, a major repository and research center for the study of philanthropy, in partnership with the CTL.
* Participation in Session 1 (May 18, 1-3 PM) is a requirement for this follow-up session.*
In this hands-on session participants will practice developing an open teaching resource based upon the RAC’s archival collections. These sets fall into three subject categories: the Rockefeller Foundation’s Refugee Scholars Program (wartime scholar rescue efforts), Individual Giving and the Development of National Parks, and the Ford Foundation and the Performing Arts. You can see the document collection on the RAC’s website. This process will prepare faculty to create their own open teaching resources.
Following Session 2, faculty are invited to submit their completed resource (either based on the material kit presented by the RAC or their material of choice) to the Center for Teaching and Learning to be considered for a stipend-based publication on Teach OER, the CTL’s open educational resource and teaching materials repository, by June 7, 2021.
