This is a two-hour hands-on workshop on StoryMap JS, a simple open-source digital tool that can be used for student-authored digital assignments. No programming knowledge is required, and Baruch faculty from a range of disciplines have been successfully experimenting with this resource for making presentations with a geographical component as part of our OER Initiative.
We invite you to this stand-alone session where you will learn what a StoryMap is, see some examples, learn about how this tool can complement your pedagogy, and get advice on designing StoryMap student assignments. Most importantly, you will have a chance to make your own StoryMap, which can serve as the basis for a stipend-based submission to our OER pedagogy website, TeachOER .
