Our own surveys of Baruch students and research more broadly indicate that trauma and other mental health difficulties can significantly affect student learning, their behavior in the classroom, and their relationships with staff, faculty and peers. Trauma-informed educational design can help students take in and retain information, create strong connections with others, and succeed academically. In this workshop we’ll discuss what trauma-informed pedagogy can offer you and your students, providing ideas for classroom strategies and course design.
