Facilitated by Professor Alex Mills, Management Department
At the completion of this workshop, you should be able to:
- Create basic types of questions (multiple-choice, numeDric answer, discussion) in Top Hat
- Assign the questions in three different ways:
- Live, as part of an in-class presentation (results reported instantly)
- As homework (results reported at the due date)
- As review (results not recorded)
- Incorporate questions into a PowerPoint presentation for use in any of the three ways described above
- Locate and download the results
Note: Top Hat is ideal for two types of uses:
- As a tool for live student response during a synchronous class.
- As a way of presenting PowerPoint material asynchronously (i.e., at the student’s own pace) with questions interspersed.
Top Hat is not a replacement for Blackboard for simple assignments. If you are not already using Blackboard, I strongly suggest attending the Blackboard workshops before trying Top Hat.
