This Vocat primer will help you get your course sections and projects set up for the summer semester. Looking for ways to get students to interact more with recorded lectures, course-related media, or their classmates' assignments? Vocat can help! This home-grown tool provides hosting space for video, audio, and images, and allows students to interact with those files via time-stamped annotations, threaded discussions, and rubric-based peer reviews. We'll discuss how those features can be used to generate student participation and discussion, with examples from classes that have used Vocat in the past.
