This Vocat primer will help you get your course sections and projects set up for the summer semester. We will demonstrate how different project settings allow for different assignment types, how you can use Vocat for lectures or other course content, and what your students see when they log in. No prior Vocat experience necessary.

Looking for ways to get students to interact more with recorded lectures, course-related media, or their classmates' assignments? Vocat can help! This home-grown tool provides hosting space for video, audio, and images, and allows students to interact with those files via time-stamped annotations, threaded discussions, and rubric-based peer reviews. We'll discuss how those features can be used to generate student participation and discussion, with examples from classes that have used Vocat in the past.
