Teaching Online: Fostering Meaningful Participation and Establishing a Course Rhythm with Your Students

In the online environment, it’s important that your students have multiple and diverse opportunities to engage with each other and the course material. And it’s especially vital that they feel part of an understood pacing and schedule in the class, and are able to pinpoint their place in the progression of your curriculum. This workshop, facilitated by CTL staff Seth Graves and Ron Whiteman, will explore some solutions for defining participation in your class, developing a mutual understanding of its pacing and deadlines, and using online learning platforms to create a humanizing and interpersonal experience.
