Interview Questions

My name is lisbeth and if I had to choose a place to stay in for a year It would be Italy. They have architecture that I find fascinating such as the Colosseum, The Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, among many others. There is also the Amalfi coast which has ports and beaches for an ideal day out on a boat or in the sand. Italian cuisine is also a main reason since they are known for there pasta dishes and pizza some of my favorite foods.

In class I spoke to Sofia. She shared that the hardest thing for her to do this semester was going to be waking up in the mornings for her morning classes. Something she wants to accomplish this semester is putting more effort to get her work done and being able to have the chance to network with people. Something I thought was interesting was that she traveled to Greece for vacation before. This is also where she would go and stay in for a year because when she was there it was lovely and calm.

If I could have a superpower, it would be being lucky all the time. If I were lucky all the time, I could become rich overnight, easily pass all my classes without stressing at all, and repair relationships from my past. I feel that I could fix so many problems and gain many great things with luck.

I spoke to this kid named Joe. He’d like to add work ethic added as an attribute to his personality. He’d also like to be able to time travel.

Share a happy childhood memory.

Growing up, I had an older sister who had participated in my elementary school’s morning band practices. As my dad took the subway to the city for work, my mom, sister, and I were left with the blue Nissan minivan, that would take us to school. Every morning, my mom would first drop off my sister for her brand practices and then would wait with me in the car until it was my turn to go to school. However, one day, after dropping my sister off, she headed off in a different direction and instead went to the nearest Dunkin’ Donuts. She had bought me a strawberry cream donut. Little 7-year-old me was ecstatic at the idea that my mom had taken me there, just the two of us, me and her. Although it was the smallest action my mom could have done, it has still stuck with me these past ten years.

While discussing childhood memories, my partner, Ralphie, shared the funniest and most nostalgic story ever. When Ralphie and his brother were young, they rode their bikes down a mountain. However, due to the steepness and unfortunately his younger brother’s breaks not working, it resulted in his brother liberating himself off the bike and plopping down onto the grass. Ralphie explained how he remembers just being confused at first but then bursting into laughter because of his lack of control over his brother’s fall. It reminded me of my childhood as well, first learning how to ride bikes but failing at doing so.

About Us

Hey everyone, I’m Yineldi. The thing that I consider my most prized possession would definitely have to be the ring my grandma passed down to me. It originally belonged to her mother and the fact that she chose me out of all family members, truly means a lot. To me this is now considered a family heirloom and I will later pass it on to someone special in my life just like may grandma has done. I hope this ring is passed on by lots of generations in my family because it is priceless to me.

Interview Questions

The person who I interviewed in class was Ariel. I asked Ariel that if she were given the chance to commit a crime and get away with it, what would it be? Her response was Government fraud. She’d be able to go through the system without being touched and always threaten them with blackmail in the end. I thought this was genius because we all know they are hiding all sorts of things out there. The power she would have at hand is insane which is why I am totally with her on this one.

Interview Questions

My name is Mia, I’m majoring in International Business. For this icebreaker I chose “Where would you like to go in the world and stay for a year? Why?” I’m Ecuadorian so I would go to Ecuador to visit my family. I know it probably doesn’t make sense but I haven’t been there since 2019 and there are so many things about Ecuador I miss, besides my family. I’m planning on going this year for my birthday or Christmas.

The person I interviewed was Jason. He told me three things that he likes about himself; he’s a morning person, likes drawing, I saw some of his drawings last semester and I really like them, he’s really talented. He also said that he can eat almost everything. He also told me that he had two dogs; a Chihuahua and Schnauzer.

Friends or foe?

Where would you like to go in the world and stay for a year? Why?

Ever since I was a little girl, I had a huge interest in both Korean and Japanese culture. Korean music fascinates me while anime, a form of Japanese film fascinate me as well. If I had to choose between Japan and South Korea, nowadays my answer would be Japan. This is because I am currently self-studying Japanese and would love to put my Japanese skills to the test. The people are also very polite, my uncle went on vacation there with many good things to say about Japan so I would like to be able to stay there for a year and learn more about their culture and language.

The capital, Tokyo is always crowded and everyone is always rushing around. The city itself is futuristic with vending machines that dispense nearly everything you can think of, from food to necessities. Osaka is somewhere else I am interested in visiting because of my boyfriend.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?

Shoshana, a transfer student to Baruch. We discussed what superpower we would like, and we both agreed on teleportation as our chosen superpower because it would be easier to arrive at our desired destination without having to worry about the weather or being late.

Down below is the opening to an anime called Demon Slayer, one of my favorite animes although many say its overrated but I still enjoy it because of all the backstory the manga provides.

Jason Hernandez. Interview Questions

Hello fellow reader. My name is Jason Hernandez. I am currently a freshman who is majoring Accounting. Three things that I like about myself are… 1) My odd likings. What do I mean by this? Well an example is if you ask me “Whats your favorite series?” I would answer that it is “Don’t Hug Me I ‘m Scared.” Its a web series that involves puppets learning lessons such as love, food, technology, or even death. But these lessons always take a weird turn where the viewer questions what the main characters are actually being taught. People tend to think that it is a kid show such as Sesame Street, but this series is definitely not a kid show at all. 2)My willingness to try new food. There are food that can sound gross or weird such as chocolate covered crickets or fried chicken guts. But I tend to have an interest to try it. 3)My Drawings. I like to draw cartoon themed drawings on my free time. I am not saying that I am an amazing artist but I am proud with what I can draw. Soon, I plan on developing my art skills towards realistic sketches.

The person I spoke to is from Ecuador. I started to ask her what her favorite music is and she said that is Spanish Music. She likes to listen to multiple different types of spanish music. She also likes to watch netflix series such as “Money Heist.” We also started to talk about how we both took winter classes and sharing our first experience taking a winter course.

Interview Questions

If I could add one attribute to my personality it would be a strong work ethic. I want to stop procrastinating to get things done that way I am not overwhelmed. If I could have a superpower I would probably choose being able to time travel. A basic time travel like rewinding time or pausing for a little bit that way I can prevent mistakes from happening.

I spoke to Michael and asked him what he wanted to accomplish this semester. He said that he wants to pass all of his classes. He said he looks forward to living a simple life when he gets older. He wants to have a family and be care-free. He also spoke with me about one of his friends that he lost contact with recently and is not happy that he did.

If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation. Many people might think that flying is their preferred superpower, but I don’t think that would be good during a storm, or if it was very hot or cold outside. Although both flying and teleportation get you to where you want to be quickly, I think that teleportation has more benefits because it will be even faster and you can avoid any bad weather.

The person I spoke to in class was Jenny. She was born in America but lived in China for a few years. She agreed with me that teleportation would be the superpower that she would want to have. Jenny also said that she enjoys gaming and listening to K-pop. She can speak Chinese and English fluently and a little bit of Korean. She is also learning to speak Japanese. Jenny also described an ideal day as staying home and hanging out with friends.

Visar

If I had to choose one place in the world to stay for a year it would be Albania. Being born in America, I never got to experience the lifestyle that my parents had and family members still have. I do go visit every summer for about a month, but that doesn’t tell you the whole story. In a whole year I can understand the lifestyle more, I would have to go find a job in a difficult country to live in. Being here in NYC I have many more opportunities in life, but there life is more limited and I want to experience that once in my life. Putting myself in those shoes are very beneficial to life.

I interviewed Saad and found out a lot of interesting things. Like for example I asked him “What is the best thing you have witnessed” and he told me about the sunset he saw about a week ago. This then made me ask the following question if he liked photography, and I found out he is actually a photographer. Saad and I also share interest in the fact we both enjoy Soccer. He is an interesting person and I enjoyed my talk with him.
