I’ve been sitting here for a few minutes trying to figure out how I’m going answer this question. I don’t think its really possible to know yourself until you have completely lived out your life. What I know about myself is that I am a 17 year old student at Baruch who lives in Queens. My close friends say I’m a chill guy which I guess is pretty accurate now that I think about it. I’m pretty easy to talk to once you get to know me. I might be shy at first but that isn’t really me. For some reason that is just how I act. That is probably the only thing I would want to change about myself if I could. I don’t like how I’m like that because at first everyone thinks I’m weird and antisocial but that isn’t true at all. I am very musical. I love playing and listening to music. I play the guitar and the piano, mostly the guitar though. I started playing the guitar sophomore year in high school. I guess I am okay at it but I’m no where near as good enough as I want to be. I started to play because my brother played and he was really good. I’ve recently realized how similar I am to my brother. I hate to say that I do everything he does but its kind of true. I guess he’s been a big influence on me. My favorite sport is baseball, football, then basketball, which I just started to get into. It sucks that the NBA is going to be locked out next year cause I just started watching it this year. I’m a big Mets and Jets fan.
One of my concerns about Baruch the work. Its not like high school where you had assignments due everyday. It is your own responsibility to keep up with everything. Another concern I have is keeping up the good grades. Knowing me I get lazy throughout the year and start slacking off. In college I feel that if you fall behind even a little bit its going to snowball and become a huge problem. The last concern I have is dealing with the stress. Baruch is going to be different because as I said before its going to be my responsibility for keeping up with the work and not falling behind. I think that my first year at college is going to make me more organized and more responsible.
