Hello Baruch

Hi, everyone, I’m Matt, and I’m from Ossining, NY, which is in Westchester County (it’s NOT upstate if you are wondering). I’d say I’m a shy, young man, who’s trying to be more social here at Baruch. In my spare time, I love to take pictures, and I have a flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthewcohe…. Yes, I just plugged myself.

My top three concerns this year are:

1. Making new friends–College would not be fun without friends so I’m trying hard to talk more than I usually do.

2. Getting good grades–College seems a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I’m trying to ace my classes and maybe make the dean’s list.

3. Joining clubs–I’m interested in joining a few clubs to get to better know people, but this can wait a little bit once I get a breather from all the homework.

I think Baruch College’s Learning Community program will make this an easier transition than if I had gone anywhere else.

I hope in my first year at Baruch that I learn some new things, make new friends, and become a better person. I think I have some pretty cool classmates, and that’s a good way to end this first post.
